A Transabdominal Prostate Ultrasound evaluates the prostate gland and urinary tract, assessing:

A Transabdominal Prostate Ultrasound is a safe, painless examination designed to assess the size, structure, and weight of the prostate gland without internal discomfort. Performed through the lower abdomen over a full urinary bladder, this scan measures prostate volume to evaluate for Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) or gland enlargement.
In addition to prostate measurements, the examination evaluates bladder wall integrity and measures Post-Void Residual (PVR) urine volume (how much urine remains in the bladder after emptying), offering clear clinical insights into lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS).
